  • Premise: One night, Philip Marlowe meets Terry Lennox in a parking lot outside a club. The man is drunk and is deserted by his wife at that moment. Marlowe tries to help him and brings him home to sober up. They forge a new friendship over the next few months. Then, Terry calls Marlowe in a state of panic and asks him to help him flee the country. Marlowe agrees to do it. But a terrible event is discovered, and the consequences turn his life into hell.
