In the meantime, Bertie’s aunt, Aunt Dahlia, wants him to come to her country estate to organise the prize distribution at the local grammar school, and tells him that his cousin has just broken off her engagement. And Madeline is to stay at Aunt Dahlia’s for a time! So Bertie brings Gussie with him there, and endeavours to facilitate his wooing, reconcile the broken couple and manage to avoid the chores of the prize distribution. But things don’t go as planned, and instead of solving problems, he creates new ones! Fortunately, Jeeves, his butler, always saves the day, but will he be able to do it this time?
