Homer

Homer was an ancient Greek writer of the 8th century BC. His most notable works are the epic poems The Iliad and The Odyssey. They both laid the foundation of Greek literature and are important works in European culture as a whole. There is speculation about Homer's identity among scholars, who may not be just one writer but the pen name of several poets.
