Henry David Thoreau

Henry David Thoreau was an American writer of the 19th century. He is an important figure in Transcendentalism, a philosophical school that focuses on Nature. His most notable work is the memoir Walden, published in 1854. He is also famous for the essay Civil Disobedience, published in 1849.
