A Hobbit's hole, a house built into a mound with greeneries

Tolkien Reading Day

March 24, 2025

Tolkien Reading Day is annually held on March 25. It is a fandom event organised by The Tolkien Society to celebrate the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, the best-known of which are The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. On this day, people read, or reread, his books or their favourite excerpts. The theme for 2025 is Fellowship and Community. And remember :

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
